To make editing simple, what to do?

Now we are in position to develop a checklist for editing our document, as follows:

Ask yourself the following questions.
     Setup a specific time schedule; work backward from the due date.

     Make checklist of possible problems. Check your document for each problem. A possible list could includes:
1.      Spelling
2.      Grammar
3.      Consistent Word use
4.      Head format
5.      Typographical items (are the dashes formed the same way?)
6.      Handling of beginning paragraphs
7.      Reference to the figures
Note: Each project generates its own particular editing checklist. Format yours based on the actual needs of the document.


     Honestly evaluates how you will produce the document
1.      Will you type or word process?
2.      Do you have enough time to handle unexpected difficulties?
3.      Will you or someone do the production work?
4.      Which tasks, must you finish first?
5.      How long will it take to complete each task?
